It is not possible to rent hiking boots directly on site, if you don't have proper hiking boots, comfortable sneakers should be enough.

Yes, if transport is required for collection or afterwards, this can be organised. These are cars with AC with max. 5 passengers.

The jungle trekking offers an exciting way to experience the island’s pristine nature and abundant wildlife. Here are some of the experiences you could have on a jungle trekking in Sumatra.

In the rainforests of Sumatra, you may have the opportunity to see wild orangutans in their natural habitat. The Bukit Lawang jungle is famous for encounters with these fascinating primates. In addition to orangutans, Sumatra is home to a rich variety of animal species, including macaques, and various bird species. The longer you spend time in the jungle, the greater the chance of seeing an elephant or tiger in the wild, which, however, are rarely visible. Your guide can help you discover these animals and learn more about their way of life. Sumatra’s tropical rainforests are home to an impressive variety of plants and trees. The guide can show you the different plant species and explain how they are used by the locals.

Day 1 :

Check In in the guesthouse

Check in at the guesthouse (included) and preparation. You can explore the neighbourhood on your own this day.

Day 2 :

First day Jungle Trek and meeting Orang Utans

Time to get up early and get ready and then have breakfast, which is included. Typically, for breakfast, you have the choice between a banana pancake or toast with jam and omelette. Breakfast is served around 7:30 a.m., and the tour would commence from there at 8 a.m. It takes around 30 min to walk through the public land to the national park. After this time, we will continue the trek in the national park, keeping an eye out for orangutans and many other amazing species. This walk will last approximately 3 hours, after which we will take a break and replenish our energy levels with fruits. Following that, we will resume the trek. Lunch is scheduled around 1 p.m., but the timing may vary slightly. After lunch, the trekking adventure will continue as we further explore the impressive national park until we reach the camp. Usually the total trek time is around 6-7 hours. The camp is situated near the river, providing an opportunity for a refreshing dip. In the camp, coffee, tea, and cake and dinner will be available. In the evening, we will engage in a few jungle games until its time to sleep.

Day 3 :

Tube ride and return to the homestay

After breakfast, it's time to continue the trek back to the homestay. After a few hours of walking, we'll reach the river, where we'll enjoy a return tube ride, already included in the price. Once we arrive at the guesthouse, you'll have time to rest, and check-out is scheduled for the next day. If you wish to prolong your stay, you are welcome to extend your visit. You will sleep the night in the guesthouse.
